Enrollment Policies & Procedures
Mayacamas Countywide Middle School will open the enrollment process for the 2025-2026 school year beginning November 2024. In the event that the number of students who apply during open enrollment exceeds capacity, Mayacamas Countywide Middle School will conduct a lottery on a date and at a place to be determined to fill open seats and to establish a waitlist, if necessary. All families are encouraged to attend the lottery. Mayacamas will contact families by e-mail, text, or telephone promptly after the lottery. For the purposes of the lottery, the open enrollment cut-off date is February 29, 2025. Enrollment will remain open beyond that date per the policies below.
LATE APPLICATIONS
Applications may be submitted after the February 29th deadline and if the applicable grade is oversubscribed, will be considered after the scheduled lottery. At that time, late applications will be placed on the late application waitlist in the order they are received. Applicants on the late application waitlist will be contacted after the original waitlist for those who applied on time has been exhausted.
ADMITTED AND WAITLIST
From the date of the lottery, a list will be created of those students who will be offered admission and those who will be on a waitlist. Students who are being offered admission will be notified promptly and will have fourteen calendar days to return a completed admission packet in order to secure their space. Students on the waitlist will be contacted by email as openings become available.
